BUDDING ADVENTURERS(2017, Unity)

PERSONNAL PROJECT - 5 MONTHS

GAME DESIGNER, LEVEL DESIGNER, SOUND DESIGNER

Budding Adventurers was selected for the final of the Microsoft Imagine Cup France contest. During the final, it won second place out of 6 projects.

The game is a 3D action-adventure game in which two players embody two sisters aged 10 and 13. The game takes place in a world called Scapia, a mix between their creativity and reality.

With this game, we wanted to create a cooperative and intimate 2 players experience in which they have to interact inside and outside the game. We wanted the players to create memories together.

 

My missions

CONCEPTION

  • Designing the whole experience (intentions, user experience...)

  • Defining mechanics to answer to those intentions

PRODUCTION

  • Tweaking in Unity (3C, gamefeel...)

  • Building a level for a vertical slice

FORMALISATION

  • Pitching the game for a jury composed of Microsoft employees

  • Writing marketing documents for Microsoft (pitch documents...)

MISC

  • Creating songs and sound effects to match with the mood of the game
